'Nollywood lacks ethics and discipline,' actress fumes

“I don’t even understand them at all. Unlike those days when we got into the industry, there was discipline, strictness and ethics," she said.



Nollywood actress, Angela Phillips has revealed that the current state of the Nigeria movie industry lacks ethics and discipline.
In a recent chat with Vanguard Newspaper, Phillips, who kicked off her acting career with a role in popular soap, Behind The Clouds, disclosed that unlike when she started out, the industry now lack ethics and discipline.
“I don’t even understand them at all. Unlike those days when we got into the industry, there was discipline, strictness and ethics," she said.
The Domino actress, also fired a shot at upcoming actresses who claim they are sexually harassed saying many of the upcoming actresses go to auditions almost half naked and are willing to do anything just to get a role.
Using herself as an example, Angela reiterated that in her 20 years of acting, she had never been a victim of sexual harassment and she believes most of the upcoming actresses set up themselves for harassments.
