The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command has arrested four suspected vandals with four tankers containing 135, 000 litres of crude oil.
The state commandant of the corps, Adeyinka Fasiu, said his men also impounded four   NNPC-branded trucks loaded with about 135,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), which have no valid loading documents.
The suspects, Omorawa Innocent, Pauline Osai, Osai Iyanu and Goodday Igybor, were arrested
during a routine patrol along Lagos-Ore Expressway in Odigbo local government area of the state at about 12:15pm on Thursday, 15th October, 2015.
While addressing journalists yesterday at the Command Headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, the commandant said the four trucks will remain impounded until the end of their investigation.
Adeyinka said the corps is investigating the sources and destinations of the loaded trucks, as such loaded trucks without valid loading papers are usually products from vandalised petroleum pipelines.
