Kate Middleton’s Glittering Tiara At First Ever State Banquet

Princess Kate Middleton attended her first ever state banquet, and naturally, she looked flawless. To accessorize her red Jenny Packham gown, Kate wore a diamond tiara over her side-swept updo. Find out more about her intricate tiara.

Kate Middleton attended a state banquet for the Chinese president at Buckingham Palace on October 20 sparkling from head to toe. With a formal dress code that called for a gown and tiara, Kate wore her third ever tiara since becoming Duchess, and it was stunning.

Kate joined husband Prince William and Queen Elizabeth in hosting the Chinese president and his wife, wearing the Lotus Flower Tiara, which was once owned and worn by the Queen’s mother according to People magazine. The Egyptian-style tiara is from the 1920s and was also worn by Princess Margaret.
With pearl and diamond details, Kate wore the tiara with her hair pulled back into a low knot style and her new bangs parted to the side. To fit with her over-the-top look, Kate wore more makeup than we’re used to, with defined brows and a much heavier brown eyeshadow and liner look.
